Individual consult time is available at $250/45 minutes for those in the consult group or $640/3 sessions. Those not in a consult group Individual consultation is $275/45 min.
The purpose of individual meetings/case consultation group is to deepen your understanding of EMDR Therapy and to successfully integrate it into your clinical practice. The focus of these sessions includes and is not limited to:
A working understanding of the EMDR Therapy approach to psychotherapy
AIP case conceptualization and treatment planning
Review and application of special protocols and relevant research findings
Modifications to the standard protocol as clinically appropriate
Understanding adaptations to developmental trauma through an attachment lens
Examining therapeutic impasses by exploring the therapist’s responses to the client
In-depth review of EMDR case write ups and processing transcripts
For cohesiveness of the group, you are asked to commit to scheduled meetings in advance. It is expected that you will attend the sessions to ensure optimal benefits in applying EMDR Therapy to your clinical practice. Each group gives members the opportunity to discuss questions and cases. Members sign up to present a case write up with a transcript at least twice in the series of meetings.
C.I.T. Case Consultation Groups
Groups run on the 3rd Monday except when that day is a holiday
Session 1 Fall 2024 - Dates 9/16/24, 10/21/24, 11/18/24, 12/16/24, 1/27/25
Session 2 Spring 2025 Dates 2/2/25, 3/17/25, 4/21/24, 5/19/25,
Times 8:30 - 10:30 am ET, 11-1 pm ET, 1:30 - 3:30 pm ET
Fees $610 for each session of 5/2 hour case consultation meetings or
$1100 for 2 sessions of 5/2 hour case consultation meetings.
The goal of this consultation is for you to demonstrate that you are able to:
Describe to consultees how to think about and apply EMDR psychotherapy using AIP informed concepts and language
Assist consultees in case conceptualization and treatment planning using an AIP informed approach
Refer to research on EMDR psychotherapy and stay up to date on recent developments
Be able to describe contraindications and potential adverse reactions relating to EMDR psychotherapy
Map out client factors and clinical choice points in the treatment of complex trauma
Encourage a relational approach that utilizes the therapeutic dyad
Become familiarized with EMDR specialized protocols
Describe how and when modifying the standard protocol is clinically appropriate
Understand and describe adaptations to developmental trauma through an attachment lens
Invite students/ consultees to explore countertransference responses(triggers) as they arise both in trainees as well as the consultees work with clients.
Assist consultees in their struggle to successfully integrate EMDR therapy into their established modality of practice
Integrate attachment theory, principles and practices from body oriented therapy, ego states/parts work, interpersonal neurobiology and affective neuroscience into an EMDR framework and assist your consultees to do so as they integrate this approach into their established modality of practice.
You are expected to come prepared to discuss and present EMDR case consultations that you are conducting with your consultees. You will provide Case conceptualization wrtie ups, transcripts and tapes with sections selected for review.
You will have your own written agreement with each consultee outlining the nature of your relationship with them and with others in their group- if applicable. This agreement should include that you are an EMDR Consultant in Training and that you will be discussing their work with me as your consultant, It is understood that whatever information is presented in this format will be kept confidential.
t is expected that you maintain up to date malpractice insurance and an active state license.
