After training with Francine Shapiro in EMDR in 2000, I began consultation group with Deany Laliotis. 26 years of ongoing consultation, always more to learn. My clients and I co-create the treatment plan which we update regularly. Deany founded and directs The Center for Excellence in EMDR therapy . I am devoted to training and mentoring EMDR/Sex/Couples/ Family & Group therapists and being the best psychotherapist I can be.
Due to COVID, the series of ongoing natural and man made disasters I became an Early EMDR Intervention practitioner and trainer. Using EEI can prevent as well as treat PTSD.
Other trainings - attachment theory, family systems, interpersonal neurobiology, reiki healing master level 2 , various models of couples therapy, substance use disorders and relapse prevention, CBT & peak performance .
39 year relationship with my significant other, Empty nesters & co-conservators of the historic building where my office is located in Old Town Alexandria, VA.
Also a musician, singer, dancer, book club member, community volunteer, bicyclist, and kayaker, etc.. depending on opportunity!
